I’M Kirstie (Rhymes with thirsty) AND I HELP

Creatives Blend
Business with
passion

As a kid I dreamed of being the CFO of Nordstrom.

In college I dreamed of owning a private wealth management firm.

…But now I’m an equine photographer.

So how did I get here?

Some little girls never grow out of the horse-crazy phase… Can you relate?

I played with Breyers instead of Barbies and begged for riding lessons at the age of three. I have ridden and shown dressage, hunter-jumper, western pleasure and reining horses. I picked up my first camera in college while riding for the TCU Women’s Equestrian Team and studying finance at the Neeley School of Business. To practice my photography, I took pictures of my riding buddies and the horses in my front pasture. As an avid equestrian myself, I built a brand around capturing the story behind the love and bond between a girl and her horse. Since opening Kirstie Marie Photography nine years ago in Dallas, Texas, I have photographed over 100 world champions and been featured in dozens of the industry’s leading publications.

“Kirstie goes above and beyond to over-deliver”

I built my DREAM business, and now I am here to help you build YOURS.

In 2015, I began offering mentoring services to other photographers and small business owners. In 2019, I developed on-demand courses on popular subjects at a more affordable price point. As one of the leading teachers in the equine photography niche, I am regularly asked to speak at industry conferences, appear on podcasts, and be featured on blogs and in magazines. My goal is simple: to help others establish a profitable, sustainable business that becomes the career of their dreams.

The HEART behind
my portrait work

I had a once-in-a-lifetime bond with my horse, Tahoe. He was my “heart horse” – my “equine soulmate.” I had to sell him when I left for college and realized that while I had images from horse shows, I had no images that showed our relationship. Since 2013, I have been delivering to clients the images I wish I had for myself.

MY WHY

entrepreneurship is difficult…

When I started this business there wasn’t a guide to help me – not a single person in this field to help out. I combined my industry knowledge with my business background to figure it out on my own.

But now I’m here to help you!
